Who can receive Scanlan Scholars tuition assistance?
Students who meet the requirements of the Scanlan Scholars Tuition Assistance Program are eligible to receive Scanlan Scholars funds. Scanlan Foundation does not grant tuition assistance directly to students but rather provides these grant funds for local administration by (arch)dioceses, without an application to Scanlan Foundation, and by Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston by application only.
Dispersement of Scanlan Scholars tuition assistance funds depends on the diocese in which the high school is located. High schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston administer the program at their respective schools while other (arch)dioceses administer the program across their respective (arch)dioceses. The process is as follows:
Catholic High Schools in Texas
Roman Catholic (Arch)dioceses located in Texas, but outside of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, are automatically considered for Scanlan Scholars Tuition Assistance in each “A” grant session – no grant application is required or accepted.
Catholic High Schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston
Roman Catholic High Schools located in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston may apply for Scanlan Scholars Tuition Assistance funds by using the high school grant application form in each “A” session.
