Applicants may submit grant applications for Session 2024B now through 11:59 PM (CST) May 15, 2024. Late applications will not be accepted. Application forms can be found on our website at https://scanlanfoundation.org/apply.
Applicants are highly encouraged to carefully read through the strategic plan announcement as well as the information about who we support. The application forms introduced significant changes in 2022 to support the implementation of Scanlan Foundation’s 25-year strategic plan.
Please read through your application form thoroughly and ensure that you understand the reporting requirements. Verify that you have completed the application form in its entirety without alterations, followed all instructions, and included all required attachments.

Application Changes
As of the 2024A grant session, a copy of the IRS Receipt form and the Grant Report form for your most recent Scanlan Foundation are now required attachments. For (arch)dioceses that have received grants in the last session, Session 2024A, you must submit the IRS Receipt form for Session 2024A, but you may submit the Grant Report form for your most recent grant prior to Session 2024A.
Figures for your financial background information must correspond with your most recent year-end financial report. Whether a fiscal year or calendar year, your figures must cover a full twelve-month period.
The Ministry Grant Application form now includes a section for Religious Orders only. This new section, the Religious Orders Supplement, is required for all religious orders.

Reporting Reminder for Past Grantees
Grantees are responsible for submitting IRS receipts and grant report forms by the deadline stated on each form. Organizations that have not submitted IRS receipts and/or grant reports in a timely manner may be declined, deferred, or have grant checks held. Most reporting forms can be downloaded here: https://scanlanfoundation.org/forms-library/.
Due to the high volume of requests, we are no longer able to look up previous submissions of documentation. You may submit or resubmit any documentation that you do not have records of previously submitting.
